Information We Collect
When you book an inspection or contact us, we collect the information you provide directly, which may include:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Property address and details relevant to the inspection
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your full card number)
- Any notes or messages you send us
We also automatically log basic, anonymous page-visit data (which pages are viewed and roughly how often) to understand site performance. This tracking does not use cookies and is not tied to your personal identity.
How We Use Your Information
- To schedule, confirm, and complete your inspection
- To generate and deliver your inspection report
- To process payment for services
- To communicate with you about your appointment or service (by phone, email, or text message where you've consented)
- To improve our services and website
Text Messaging (SMS)
If you opt in to receive text messages from us, we use them to send appointment reminders and service updates. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies based on your activity with us.
- Consent to receive texts is never required to book an inspection or use our services.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance.
- We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or opt-in status with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Follow-Up Calls and Messages, Including Automated and AI-Assisted Contact
Separately from appointment reminders, you may choose (it is optional, and unchecked by default) to let Pre Closing Inspection and its affiliated brands contact you after your inspection about review requests and offers for repair, renovation and related services. If you opt in, that contact may be by text message or phone call, and may use an automated system or an AI-generated (artificial) voice, at the number you gave us.
- Consent is never a condition of booking an inspection or buying any service.
- Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts. To stop calls, tell us on the call or contact us and we will stop.
- We keep a record of what you agreed to, which version of the wording you saw, and when, so we can honor your choices.
- Calls that use an AI voice will say so at the start. Some calls may be recorded, and we will tell you if so.
- We do not sell or share your phone number or opt-in status with third parties for their own marketing.
Third Parties We Work With
We use a small number of trusted services to run our business, and your information may pass through them as a normal part of providing our service:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Google (Calendar, Drive, Gmail) — appointment scheduling, photo/video/report storage, and email delivery
- Twilio and our email provider — delivery of text messages, calls and email you have agreed to receive
- Anthropic — our AI-assisted report system analyzes inspection photos, video, and notes to help generate your written report
These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their specific function for us. We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or advertisers.
Data Retention
We retain inspection records, reports, and related media for as long as reasonably necessary for business, legal, and insurance purposes. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us, subject to any records we're required to keep by law.
Your Choices
- Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP
- Request a copy of the information we have about you
- Request correction or deletion of your information, where applicable
Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults arranging property inspections. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
