A high reading doesn't mean a home is unsafe to live in as-is, and it's rarely a deal-breaker. Radon mitigation systems are a well-established, common solution. These systems typically use a vent pipe and fan to draw soil gas from beneath the foundation and release it safely above the roofline, preventing it from accumulating indoors. Many homes across the region already have mitigation systems installed from previous ownership.
